Features

Applications

  • Helium is often used as a Shielding Gas in Welding, for its inert properties such as providing ideal arc temperatures for welding materials with high-heat conductivity.
  • In heat-treating processes, during manufacturing or metal fabrication, Helium is added to furnace atmospheres to produce stronger, more durable parts.
  • Helium at cryogenic temperatures is essential for operating MRI and NMR machinery.
  • Helium is required for determining sample content and characteristics as a carrier gas in gas chromatography.
  • In retail, Helium is used to give balloons a lift.
